Private Colleges of Education Need Govt Support

It is set time Government begin to support privately owned colleges of education, Barrister Osahan the chairman and founder of Angel crown College of education made this statement while speaking with market speech (now African Strides) crew in his Abuja office. Osahan is of the opinion that when teachers education is well positioned, we can be sure that student will do well in return. He reiterated that one of the greatest challenge faced by the privately owned colleges of education is that of finance. He is of the opinion that government should include them in their budget to enable them compete favourably in terms of quality teachers and conducive learning environment.
When asked the cause for recent mass failure in WAEC, NECO and JAMB he said that, that can only be addressed through well trained and qualify teachers in our different places of learning. In response to why he established angel crown college of education Barrister Osahan said that it has always been his dream to produce nation builders (teachers) and when the opportunity came he embraced it with passion and commitment to seeing that the school ranks with any University standard. he also said that government should look into the proposal to convert the colleges of education into University of education to enable them run and award degree certificates this he said will arouse student interest in making university of education their choice.

Repositioning The Teachers Education in Nigeria

Teachers education should be seen as the very key in restructuring the education sector. the executive secretary of National Commission for Colleges of Education prof. Junaid said this in an interview with Development Platform and African strides magazine crew in their headquarters office, Abuja. He went further to reiterates that the mass failure being experienced in our different schools of learning is as a result of poor quality of teachers in our different institutions of learning.

I shall do all that is within my possible best to make sure we reposition the teachers education in Nigeria.  to show his sincere willingness to doing these, Professor junaid is already partnering with Soulmedia Communications limited, producers and publishers of African Strides Magazine in other to do a comprehensive report/documentary on both both TV and Magazine for Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
